Yuji Nomi is a music composer, was born on July 19,1958 in Tokyo.
Nomi started his music activities in the art performance at several galleries in Tokyo. In those time, the works for those art performances were noticed by Ryuichi Sakamoto. Then he let Nomi to release the album "Oshare-TV" in 1986, and to make film musics for several movies such as "Adventures of Milo and Otisi","Wings of Honneamise" with him. Nomi also joined as an orchestrator in Ryuichi Sakamoto's film music of "The Last Emperor".
In 1995, Nomi made a film music for the Studio Ghibli's movie "Whisper of the Heart(Mimi O Sumaseba)", and then was appointed by Hayao Miyazaki to make film musics of his two short films as "Koro no oosanpo" and "Kujira tori" for the Ghibli Museum of Tokyo in 2001.
In 2002, Nomi joined to make Ghibli's film music again and the film is Hiroyuki Morita's "The Cat Returns(Neko no Ongaeshi)".
